In early 2020, as Covid-19 spread around the world, one country after another closed its borders to foreign visitors.

Although travel to many countries is now permitted, additional entry requirements remain in place for most destinations.

Entry requirements

Many countries require proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test result. Others require visitors to quarantine upon arrival. A number of countries remain closed to tourists.

In a limited number of countries, visa requirements may also differ. Where travel is normally visa-free, a visa may be required.
